Ms. Meredith graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law ranked 1st in her class, after serving as Articles Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review, and began to practice law in 1978. Ms. Meredith began her practice of law at a large firm in Baltimore, and with the exception of serving as an Assistant Attorney General from 1982–1985, she remained in practice in the large firm setting until April, 1995. During her tenure at the large law firm, Ms. Meredith rose through the ranks from associate, to partner, and eventually vice–chair of the firm. While practicing in the large firm setting, Ms. Meredith's practice emphasized defense of hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers in medical negligence cases.
When a close family member experienced a devastating injury as a result of medical negligence, Ms. Meredith decided to "cross the street" and prosecute a medical malpractice claim. Ms. Meredith's experience in this initial foray into representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases was a good one, as she achieved a result for her client that will enable her client to live independently for the rest of her life. This experience also convinced Ms. Meredith that she should leave the large law firm and establish a small firm where her primary area of practice concentration would be representation of victims of medical negligence.
In April, 1995, Ms. Meredith co–founded her own firm, which is now named Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger & Brennan, P.C. In the years since 1995, Ms. Meredith's practice has emphasized representation of victims of medical negligence. Many people who suffered injury, or who lost a loved one, due to medical malpractice have entrusted Ms. Meredith with their legal representation. Ms. Meredith has represented each of her clients with the highest level of competence, professionalism, integrity, and tenacity. Ms. Meredith's goal is always to assist her clients in achieving the best possible outcome in their cases, and in so doing she has changed the lives of many of her clients by helping them obtain outstanding results either through judgment or settlement. Ms. Meredith's practice also regularly includes representation of plaintiffs in serious personal injury or wrongful death cases that involve other areas of law, such as automobile or truck accidents or product liability, as well as representation of attorneys in legal malpractice and disciplinary cases.
